Best catches of IPL 2012

Most people think of IPL (Indian premier league) as a game only for a stunning show by the batsmen in the form of packaging the bowlers for a boundary(4) or for a maximum(6). But there are much more to the games like bowling. But what is most fascinating sometimes is not the batting neither the bowling but fielding. Some super saves and some karbonn kamal catches can make or break day for a team. Let us look at some of the extra ordinary catches of IPL......

Take a look at this catch(I think the best of best) especially for its sheer brilliance...

Sachin scores 100 centuries (videos)

Sachin completes his 100th century....

"The God of cricket" as he is often dubbed as  achieved a milestone of being the only player (until now and perhaps forever will be so) to get 100 centuries. A feat which has put him in the same league with the likes of pele, michael phelpss and other such luminaries from across the sporting fraternity.

But it doesn't at all mean that sachin didn't had to face tough times. On the contrary there were plenty. There were career threatening injuries, lack of form, criticisms all along the road. Mental toughness has seen Sachin come out of all his injuries - back, shoulder, toe, tennis elbow. Even for the last century Sachin really had to give a test of his patience, when the whole country (INDIA) which worships him as the god didn't hesitate to trash him. Some even advised that Sachin should retire following the footsteps of his colleague (Rahul Dravid). Actually often we cosider our role models to be gods or characters to have come out from the pages of comic book. We tend to forget that they are actually humans.

In his anthology, IT TAKES ALL SORTS, Peter Roebuck the late cricket writer, captures the Tendulkar mania with the sharp objectivity of an outsider:" For 15 of his 30 years (he wrote this a few years back ) Tendulkar has lived with the worship of a cricket mad public that wants him to be infallible, ruthless and destructive, supporters inclined to forget that he emerged from a womb and not from the pages of a comic book."

Here is the list of Sachin Tendulkar’s hundred tons in international cricket:
