Why people fight in the name of religion...not now but from biblical time or may be before that..? Honestly speaking I don't understand...Because I feel that religion is a set of belief followed by a person which he believes will let him unite with the god head or supreme power..This belief or path to reach the supreme power is different for different religions...So there is no point in fighting with another person with a different set of believes..(It is like 2 pedestrians are walking to reach the same destination..through two different roads and they fight with each other for the reason why the other person hasn't taken the same road or some unknown reason..).SO why do they fight lets decode....
lets first look for the origin of the word itself..where does this word religion comes from..
The English word "religion" is derived from the Middle English "religioun" which came from the Old French "religion." It may have been originally derived from the Latin word "religo" which means "good faith," "ritual," and other similar meanings. Or it may have come from the Latin "religâre" which means "to tie fast."...
When any religion is created it is the result of certain holy man's path to salvation and what he believes will take other person towards salvation too if they follow his path...It is like discovering a new path to a destination and telling others about the path and encouraging them to take it to reach a destination.But as any explorer won't tell others that other paths to reach the same destination are bad and all those who take other paths to reach the same destination should be hated. In the same way no religion teaches its followers to hate other religion or their followers. It is the creation of the followers or some letter teachers who out of their vested self interest misguide people..people too tend to forget over time the real purpose of religion..(that is to unite with supreme power) and follow those verses in their religious texts which tells them to be compassionate with others no matter what their religion is..
So you see the main problem lies with our thinking...so if we can change our thinking and see things in the light that all people are children of that supreme power and their ultimate goal is to reach the supreme power all debates and clashes will be gone for the good of mankind in particular and all creations of the supreme power in general....
